Last week I was in Lisbon for the launch of the Portuguese edition of The Flavour Thesaurus. To José Prata and Susana Almeida at Lua de Papel: muito obrigada. We had a wonderful time. And a very good lunch in a restaurant-come-cave called the Gruta do Paraíso (Rua do Paraíso 62), recommended to us by Célia Pedroso and Lucy Pepper. Launch of De Smaakbijbel

The Dutch edition of The Flavour Thesaurus – De Smaakbijbel – was launched in Amsterdam last week. Many thanks to Joost Nijsen of Podium Books for hosting, to the brilliant Jean Beddington for cooking, to Joost’s colleagues Harminke Medendorp, Emmelie Muisjers and Krista Verweij, and to everyone else who helped make it such a fun and enlightening afternoon.
