The Flavour Thesaurus

This coming Sunday, the 24th July, I’ll be giving a talk on flavour combinations at the Port Eliot Festival in St Germans, Cornwall.

The Dutch edition of The Flavour Thesaurus – De Smaakbijbel – was launched in Amsterdam last week. Many thanks to Joost Nijsen of Podium Books for hosting, to the brilliant Jean Beddington for cooking, to Joost’s colleagues Harminke Medendorp, Emmelie Muisjers and Krista Verweij, and to everyone else who helped make it such a fun and enlightening afternoon. Very honoured that The Flavour Thesaurus has won the Guild of Food Writers’ Jeremy Round Award for best first book.

Some dates for your diary: I’m doing a talk on ‘What makes a great flavour combination’, on Wed 8 June at 7pm at Waterstone’s Piccadilly…

…and will be appearing at the Port Eliot Festival in Cornwall on Sunday 24th July.
