The Dutch edition of The Flavour Thesaurus – De Smaakbijbel – was launched in Amsterdam last week. Many thanks to Joost Nijsen of Podium Books for hosting, to the brilliant Jean Beddington for cooking, to Joost’s colleagues Harminke Medendorp, Emmelie Muisjers and Krista Verweij, and to everyone else who helped make it such a fun and enlightening afternoon. If you’re in Amsterdam, you must go to Jean’s restaurant. In the meantime here’s a video of me and (for Dutch-speakers) Jean talking about the book for FoodTube.NL
You can buy De Smaakbijbel here.
Very honoured that The Flavour Thesaurus has won the Guild of Food Writers’ Jeremy Round Award for best first book.
